O God, you are our Father of mercies and God of all comfort,
You are where our help comes from. We lift up those who are grieving with losses to come before Your altar for strength, comfort, and rest. You know each of them, You are El Roi, the God who sees. God, You see those who have lost someone dearly during this period, everyone. Holy Spirit, our comforter, we ask that Your presence will be felt by those who are grieving. Help them to process their grieves. Surround them with Your strong arms and hug them to Your bosom. God, You are actually not far from any one of us. In Him, we live and move and exist. (Acts 17:27b-28a). Help those who are grieving to take comfort that no matter how bad it looks, there is a God who sees their suffering, loss, and loneliness. We also ask that You position Your people to be around those who are grieving, help us to look out for our neighbors, and be there for them. Make our presence, with the help of the Holy Comforter, to bring hope, strength, and peace to those who are grieving.
In Jesus’s name, we pray, amen.
